Position Description

A health services network in New York is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a great Night shift opportunity at one of their inpatient psychiatric facilities in Broome County.

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Nights
  • Schedule: 5 shifts per week
  • Hours: 11pm to 7:30am
  • Setting: Inpatient Mental Health

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing the patients' physical needs
  • Checking and transcribing the Physicians' orders in a timely fashion
  • Administering medication
  • Admit/discharge and transfer patients based on a Physician order
  • Assisting with procedures and physical exams
  • Conducting checks of treatment rooms for required equipment and ensuring its functionality
  • Recording appropriate progress notes and other data into the patients' medical records
  • Supervising non-professional nursing staff, including drawing blood, collecting vital signs, etc.
  • Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of Clinical experience
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification

Desired Skills:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a Behavioral Health setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
